IMPARTIALITY

Our Commitment to Objectivity, Independence, and Impartiality in Certification Activities

PT Satya Global Standart understands that impartiality is the cornerstone of credible and trusted management system certification. We are fully committed to delivering certification activities that are objective, independent, and free from any conflict of interest.

To ensure the integrity of our services, we govern our operations under the following strict impartiality rules and principles:

  • PT Satya Global Standart is fully responsible for maintaining impartiality throughout all certification processes. We do not permit commercial, financial, or other pressures to compromise our objectivity and professional judgment.
  • Our top management is strictly committed to impartiality, ensuring that our policies, decisions, and audit processes prioritize the credibility of certification above all.
  • We operate a continuous and documented process to identify, analyze, evaluate, treat, and monitor any potential risks and conflicts of interest arising from our certification activities.
  • We regularly assess and manage potential threats to impartiality from all identified sources, including ownership and governance structures, our organizational policies and procedures, management and leadership relationships, internal and external personnel, shared resources (such as facilities or staff), financial and commercial interests, contractual agreements, marketing and sales commissions, or other incentives for client referrals.
  • We take immediate and decisive action to respond to any threats to our impartiality arising from the actions of other individuals, institutions, or external organizations.

To eliminate the most significant threats to impartiality, PT Satya Global Standart maintains these absolute boundaries:

  • We do not offer or provide internal audits to our certified clients. PT Satya Global Standart will not certify any management system where we have conducted internal audits within the last two years.
  • We do not outsource audits to management system consultancy organizations.
  • Our certification services are never marketed or offered in conjunction with management system consultancy.
  • We do not certify other certification bodies for their quality management systems.
  • All personnel involved in our certification activities (including committee members, internal/external auditors, and technical experts) must act impartially and sign legally binding agreements to uphold our confidentiality and impartiality policies.
  • All personnel are strictly required to reveal any situation known to them that may give rise to a conflict of interest. If a conflict of interest is identified, that individual is barred from participating in the audit or decision-making process.
  • Personnel who have previously provided management system consultancy to a client—including those in managerial roles—must not be utilized for audits or certification decisions for that client for a minimum of two years after the consultancy has ended.
